We caught up with artist Nik Williams the other day and here is what he had to say. Nik works full time as a teacher but still manages to find time to produce beautiful images.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
David Hockney, Jeremy Sanders, Glyn Macey, teaching my students
Which famous artist do you admire the most and why?
Vincent Van Gogh
What person – living or dead – would you like to spend a day with and why?
Bansky – the street artist, then I could reveal his identity. I like his thinking and use of art to convey thoughtful messages.

What are you working on now?
Seascapes from Cornwall after a trip down there during the Easter holidays
What’s the one thing you’d take to a desert island and why?
Coffee machine – can’t survive a day without a good strong cappuccino

David Hockney on the 30th April 2017, and Robert Rauschenberg in April, Tate St Ives in April
Landscapes or Seascapes?
Both, although I seem to be drawn to seascapes at the moment
